Narasin is an anti-protozoal agent with activity against Coccidia parasites (e.g. Toxoplasma gondii). It also has limited antibacterial activity against Gram +ve bacteria.

Narasin is a cationic ionophore antibiotic and coccidiostat agent. Narasin inhibits NF-¦ÊB signaling and induces tumor cells apoptosis. Narasin has antimicrobial, antiviral anticancer activity. Narasin inhibits tumor metastasis and growth of ER¦Á?positive breast cancer cells by inactivation of the TGF-¦Â/SMAD3 and IL?6/STAT3 signaling pathways[1][2][3].
