(extracted from source data)
DESCRIPTION Indeloxazine hydrochloride acts as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, serotonin releasing agent and NMDA receptor antagonist. It is used as an antidepressant and cerebral activator. It has been found to possess neuroprotective, nootropic, anticonvulsant and antidepressant-like effects in animal models. It could enhance acetylcholine release in the rat forebrain through activation of the 5-HT4 receptor. (BOC Sciences Bioactive Compounds)
