DESCRIPTION
Cucurbitacin IIb is an active component isolated from Hemsleya amabilis, induces apoptosis with anti-inflammatory activity. Cucurbitacin IIb inhibits phosphorylation of STAT3, JNK and Erk1/2, enhances the phosphorylation of I¦ÊB and NF-¦ÊB (p65), blocks nuclear translocation of NF-¦ÊB (p65) and decreases mRNA levels of I¦ÊB¦Á and TNF-¦Á[1].

DESCRIPTION
1. Cucurbitacin IIb is one of the major active compounds in Hemsleyadine tablets which have been used for clinical treatment of bacillary dysentery, enteritis and acute tonsilitis. 2. Cucurbitacin IIb exhibits its anti-inflammatory activity through modulating multiple cellular behaviors and signaling pathways, leading to the suppression of the adaptive immune response.
