Description
(extracted from source data)
DESCRIPTION Leukotriene E4 is a cysteinyl leukotriene produced by LTD4 and LTC4 in breath condensation, plasma, and urine. It is a constituent of slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A). It is the final product of the pathway where 5-lipoxygenase converts arachidonic acid to cysteinyl leukotrienes, thus it can be used as an indicator in clinical diagnosis of asthma.
