DESCRIPTION Phosphoinositide-specific Phospholipase C (PI-PLC) inhibitor (LOPAC library)
DESCRIPTION Edelfosine is a synthetic lysophospholipid analogue that acts as an inhibitor of phosphatidylinositol phospholipase C (IC50 = 9.6 μM in fibroblasts and adenocarcinoma cells) and an agonist at platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptors. Edelfosine induces apoptosis in human promyelocytic HL-60 leukemic cells and promonocytic U937 leukemic cells. (BOC Sciences Bioactive Compounds)
