DESCRIPTION Econazole nitrate is an imidazole class antifungal medication[1]. Econazole nitrate also has antibacterial activity[2].
DESCRIPTION Econazole topical is an antifungal agent. The preparation of econazole specified by the INN document is a racemic mixture of an (R)- and an (S)- isomer. The structure shown here does not specify stereochemistry and represents the mixture.
Marketed formulations may contain econazole nitrate (PubChem CID 68589). (GtoPdb)

DESCRIPTION Econazole ((¡À)-Econazol) is an orally active imidazole antifungal agent, as well as a cytochrome P-450 inhibitor and a blocker of calcium and manganese ion uptake. Econazole is active against a variety of fungi and some Gram-positive bacteria, but has no significant activity against Gram-negative bacteria. Econazole can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and can also induce liver damage[1][2][3][4][5].
DESCRIPTION Econazole ((??)-Econazol) is an imidazole derivative that is commonly used as a topical antifungal agent.
DESCRIPTION Econazole nitrate (NSC-243115) (Spectazole) is an imidazole class antifungal medicine. (TargetMol Bioactive Compound Library)
DESCRIPTION Econazole is a topical antifungal used to treat tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, cutaneous candidiasis and tinea versicolor. Econazole interacts with 14-α demethylase, a cytochrome P-450 enzyme necessary to convert lanosterol to ergosterol. (Enamine Bioactive Compounds)
DESCRIPTION Econazole ((±)-Econazol) is an imidazole derivative that is commonly used as a topical antifungal agent. (TargetMol Bioactive Compound Library)
