Description
(extracted from source data)
DESCRIPTION Levonorgestrel is the name for the active isomer in norgestrel, a racemic mixture (GtoPdb)
DESCRIPTION Levonorgestrel is an orally active inhibitor of progesterone (HY-N0437). Levonorgestrel has anticancer activity and can induce Apoptosis. Levonorgestrel can be used as a contraceptive and in combination with other medications. Levonorgestrel can be used in the study of osteoporosis and uterine leiomyoma[1][2][3][4][5].
DESCRIPTION Norgestrel is a synthetic analog of progesterone, a compound commonly found in oral contraceptive pill, and a powerful neuroprotective antioxidant, preventing light-induced ROS in photoreceptor cells, and cell death[1][2]. Norgestrel is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.

DESCRIPTION Selective RORgamma inverse agonist (Tocris Bioactive Compound Library)
DESCRIPTION Synthetic progesterone analog (Tocriscreen Plus)
DESCRIPTION Levonorgestrel is a synthetic progestogen similar to Progesterone. It is used as a single agent in emergency contraception, and as a hormonal contraceptive released from an intrauterine device. (Enamine Bioactive Compounds)
DESCRIPTION Norgestrel (WY-3707) is a synthetic progestin commonly used alone or in combination with an estrogen for contraception. Norgestrel suppresses the secretion of luteinizing and follicle-stimulating hormones (LH and FSH), thickens cervical mucus, and slows the transit of ova through the fallopian tubes. (TargetMol Bioactive Compound Library)
DESCRIPTION Levonorgestrel (D-Norgestrel) is a Progestin and Progestin-containing Intrauterine Device. The physiologic effect of levonorgestrel is by means of Inhibit Ovum Fertilization. (TargetMol Bioactive Compound Library)
