Description
(extracted from source data)
DESCRIPTION Mesuximide is marketed as a racemic mixture of stereoisomers; (R)-mesuximide and (S)-mesuximide. We show the non-stereo structure to represent the mixture. (GtoPdb)
DESCRIPTION Mesuximide is a succinimide anticonvulsant medication. The therapeutic efficacy of methosuximide is due to its pharmacologically active metabolite, N-desmethylmethosuximide. This active metabolite has a longer half-life and attains much higher plasma levels than its parent. (BOC Sciences Bioactive Compounds)
